Welcome to the Free on-line Tarot Training Class.
I built this class back in 2003 when I was teaching a telecourse in Corporate Coaching/Clinical Psychology and the Tarot. The same course was also given to Akashic University as their primary on-line Tarot Training Course.
The course is intended as a primer, for those who have little or no prior Tarot training. The Tarot used throughout this course is from Arthur Edward Waite, who designed the deck in collaboration with Pamela Colman Smith, an American artist, first published in 1910.
The Tarot System: the ancient art of understating the mysteries of what Carl Jung referred to as the Collective Unconscious and his theory of Archetypal Energies. This is not fortune telling, but a way to access and unlock the unconscious secrets of the mind; a way to contact your higher-self; a path towards enlightenment and inner growth.
I view the Tarot in two ways. The first being primarily psychological. Your unconscious mind interacts with the archetypal images of the cards to express direct information to your conscious mind. The second path is spiritual. The Major Arcana cards are the 22 cards which are ancient images, each telling a story, the Journey of the Fool, which each of us travel in all that we do. These 22 images transcend race, sex, culture, geography, time and dimensional vibrations as they have always been, in one form or another, a part of our psyche.
I have been reading the Tarot for the better part of my life. I have studied with many teachers and have in the last ten years, began teaching the Tarot System. For those who are interested in learning the cards, their interactions, their inner meanings and how a reading is executed for yourself and/or another, then this FREE on-line course will get you there. KNOW, however, that by studying the Tarot, you step into yourself in a way that you may not have done before. You will be stepping into a room of mirrors where in each card you will find yourself, your joy and your pain. This is a system of Life and Living and seeks to unravel the mystery of YOU the reader and client.
The course is offered here for Free because I believe that all people should have access to this knowledge. Everything you need is included except for a deck of cards. I recommend that you purchase the The Rider-Waite Tarot Deck (a brand new sealed deck, not a used one) as this is one of the three original decks and the easiest to learn from. The course is also based on these cards.
