INTRODUCTION TO THE TAROT

Class Tarot01
Session IV : Sacred Space and Minor Arcana Wands

Creating Sacred Space

Preparing Yourself

Whenever you are about to work with your Tarot or do a reading, create the space within yourself and around yourself. The space of the reading is a high-energy state where your higher self is in communication with your regular self. You are comfortable and relaxed. You are open to your intuition and inquisitive.

To connect with your higher self, take a moment to visualize your body as it is seated in a comfortable position. See an aura of light around yourself. See this light extending from your crown chakra (the top of your head) up and out into the heavens. Know that the destination of this beam of energy is to the third eye chakra (between the eyes on the forehead) of your higher self. Now say aloud, "I am now connecting with my higher self." Wait a moment in quiet and feel a connection, it may be an immediate feeling or almost not there. Either way, know that you are connected.

Sacred Ground works with Nature in a mutual relationship, where nature also has information to share with humankind. The information and techniques are based on work executed at the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland and the work done at Perelandra in Virginia and research work done with Steve Johnston, CPCC in San Rafael, California. Including nature as an important participant in your readings will allow you to better receive intuitive information. For this reason we connect to our higher self and we set our intention before we begin a reading.
